Lot description
The surface area of this work is without marks, dents, scratches or foxing. The work is slightly faded and laid down to board. The work was previously glued to a construction board frame, which was removed causing damage to the edges of the work (see photographs).

Moïse Kisling (1891-1953) was a Polish-French painter who lived and worked for much of his life in France, specifically within the renowned community of artists in Montparnasse, which was later home to Marc Chagall, Amedeo Modigliani, and Jules Pascin, among numerous others. In his work, Kisling synthesized various influences from the School of Paris, incorporating his own flair for brilliant palettes and lively compositions, key stylistic elements in his work.
