Miwa Ogasawara was born in 1973 born in Kyoto, Japan. She received her formal training in art in 2004-2007 at the University of Fine Arts of Hamburg, Germany, receiving a Diploma for Fine Art and in 1997-2002 University of Applied Sciences, Hamburg, Germany, receiving a Diploma for Design.
