This 2011 photograph, 'Blackout (Detroit River), Detail: Panel 1' by acclaimed contemporary artist Mike Kelley is in mint condition and has never been framed.

Taking inspiration from various sources, such as gender roles, philosophy, history, and contemporary surroundings, Mike Kelley (b.1954) creates works using a range of media including found objects, collage, assemblage, drawing, performance, and video. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Kelley earned his BFA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1976 and his MFA in 1978 from the California Institute of the Arts, Valencia, CA where he studied under John Baldessari, Laurie Anderson, and Douglas Huebler. Kelley has received two National Endowment for the Arts Grants (1985 and 1990) and was awarded the Wolfgang Hahn Prize in 2006. His work has been exhibited widely throughout the world with recent solo shows at Gagosian Gallery, London, England and Los Angeles, CA (2011); Kunstmuseum Krefeld, Krefeld, Germany (2011); Skarstedt Gallery, New York, NY (2010); and Wako Words of Art, Tokyo, Japan (2009).
