Lot description
Giclee print of Audrey Hepburn applying make up in her dressing room at the backstage of "Ondine". Photographed for Mademoiselle in 1954. Print originates from the estate of Mark Shaw/Mark Shaw Photographic Archive. Image size is 15.25 x 20 inches (38.7 x 50.8 cm); paper size is 17 x 22 inches (43.2 x 55.9 cm).

Shaw started working for LIFE magazine in 1952. He shot 27 covers featuring celebrities such as Grace Kelly, Elizabeth Taylor, Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn. As a leading fashion photographer, he also worked for Harper’s Bazaar and Mademoiselle and several other publications, with some of his most beautiful pictures shot for Vanity Fair’s lingerie advertising campaign.
