Includes original postage stamp as well as signed letter from the World Federation of United Nations Associations. This work was sold by Martin Lawrence galleries and the frame is windowed to view the back of the work.

Keith Haring (1958-1990) a key player in the Pop Art Movement, gained international recognition between 1980 and 1989. Using simple and rhythmic lines, Haring created work that contained strong social messages of life, unity, love, sex and war. At age 19 Haring moved to New York to study at the School of Visual Arts. He first achieved public attention with his chalk drawings in the subways of New York City. In 1989, just before his untimely death, the artist established the Keith Haring Foundation which provides funding to AIDS organizations and children’s programs.
