Julius Shulman (1910-2009) was an architectural photographer best known for his “Case Study” series of photographs. Spanning the mid-century modernist monuments in California, Shulman’s works helped to popularize and preserve Los Angeles’s unique modernist landmarks. Recent exhibitions include “Time & Place: Los Angeles, 1958-1968" at the Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Sweden (2008), which travelled to the Kunsthaus Zürich, Switzerland, in 2009.
