Lot description
Printed 1999, only 17 printed of the edition.

Ivor Sharp was born in 1928 and began painting at age fourteen. After being drafted to fight in World War II, he became a photography apprentice. His first definitive assignment was to document Mohandas Ghandi's activism in India, working among the class known as untouchables. After moving to Canada in the 1960s, Sharp began working for Time Life Magazine. He famously photographed John Lennon and Yoko Ono during their Bed-In in 1969; having become acquainted with Lennon, his photographs are notably more intimate than other accounts of the event. Sharp passed away in 1989.
