Lot description
"Big Business No. 2" (2007) is an exciting painting that belongs to the ongoing series of figurative, highly ornate and detailed works by renowned female Chinese Contemporary artist Han Yajuan (China, B. 1980). Here, one of Han's iconic female characters is depicted fiercely independent businesswoman talking on the telephone, sitting provocatively atop her large desk, which bears all the necessary accoutrements needed to carry out her successful work day. More than just accomplished works, Han's paintings are meant to read as highly ironic commentaries on the socio-economic conditions in China and the world in general. This painting measures 23.70 x 19.70 inches, is custom framed to larger dimensions and in perfect condition.
