Mint condition, framed.

German artist Gerhard Richter (b.1932) began making prints in 1965 and has completed more than one hundred to date. Pursuing a variety of photographic printmaking processes including screenprint, photolithography, and collotype, Richter rectifies the photograph medium that is central to the rest of his oeuvre. Focusing on pictorial documentation and rejecting the Expressionist painting popular at the beginning of his career, Richter sought out media that would lend a ‘non-art’ appearance to his work.
