This unique work on paper, 'Tonight We Launch', by the artist duo FAILE inspired a series of prints that utilized the same composition but are printed in a different colorway. Recalling the infamous crash of the Challenger space shuttle shortly after its launch in 1986, this original stencil and spray paint work is signed with the date '1986', recalling the event. This date has become a characteristic part of their signature, appearing on most of their work. 'Tonight We Launch' was featured the recent solo exhibition at Los Angeles' Post No Bills Gallery, "A Decade of Prints and Originals" in 2011.

Working in a variety of media, including collage, stencil, installation, and sculpture, the collaborative duo known as FAILE have established themselves at the forefront of contemporary street art. Focusing on stenciling techniques, FAILE explores contemporary themes by integrating high and low culture through appropriated imagery concerned with religion, consumerism, history, and media. Comprised of Patrick McNeil (B. 1975, Edmonton, CA) and Patrick Miller (B. 1976, Minneapolis, MN), this dynamic artistic duo have been gaining international attention and critical acclaim since 1999. There work was recently the subject of the solo shows at Post No Bills Gallery, Los Angeles, CA (2011); and Lazarides Gallery, London, UK (2010). They were also featured in the recent exhibitions 'Toykio Loves Gol', Toykio Gallery, Dusseldorf, Germany (2012); 'West End Rebellion', Scream London, London, UK (2011); 'Viva la Revolucion: A Dialogue with the Urban Landscape', Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, San Diego, CA (2010); and 'Shred', Perry Rubenstein Gallery, New York, NY.
