Vintage silver print, c. 1940. Image size is 13 x 10 inches (33 x 25.4 cm).

Hungarian-born Emery P. Reves-Biro is one of the greatly underrated Eastern Europeans, who moved to the US in mid-career. Reves-Biro was a fashion photographer active in the 1920s and 1930s. His work was often prominently featured in Harper‘s Bazaar.
