Lot description
"Exciting" utilizes the typical block-letter style that Eine has become known for, creating a bold, playful effect with the thick black and white letters against the bright blue background.

Ben Eine (born Ben Flynn, 1970) is a British street artist who rose to prominence in the commercial graffiti world with his partnership with the notable London graffiti artist Banksy. Through this relationship Eine was able to transition from the underground London street art scene to the commercial graffiti market. He is known for his large scale alphabet letters on the outside of shop shutters in several London neighborhoods, and has produced several of his own lettering styles including "shutter," "circus," "neon," "elton," "vandalism," and "wendy." Until 2008, Eine was the in-house printer for Pictures on Walls (POW) which produced prints by artists including Banksy, Jamie Hewlett and Anthony Micallef. In
2008, Eine was featured in "Time Out" magazine as one of the six best street artists in London. Eine is featured in publications including "Street Renegades: New Underground Art" by Francesca Gavin and "The Art Of Rebellion 2: World Of Urban Art Activism" by Christian Hundertmark,as well as Sebastian Peiter's documentary 'Guerilla Art'. In 2010, President Barack Obama was presented with an official gift from the British Prime Minister David Cameron: a painting by Eine entitled "Twenty First Century City."
