Straddling the line between photography and drawing, Danae Falliers’ manipulated abstractions of the American landscape act as a contemplation of both a perceived and real environment. Born in 19, Falliers has lived in diverse American landscapes from Colorado, to Los Angeles, to New Mexico. She received her BFA from California College of the Arts, Oakland, CA and her MFA in Photography from The University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA. Her work has recently been exhibited at Colorado Photographic Arts Center (2011); Robishcon Gallery, Denver, CO (2011); Center for Contemporary Art, Santa Fe, NM (2011); and Wall Space Gallery, Santa Barbara, CA (2011).
