Atul Bhalla's important photograph, "Submerged" was included in the seminal Museum exhibition: "PUBLIC PLACES/PRIVATE SPACES: Contemporary Indian Photography and Video", Newark Museum, New Jersey, US (2009) and was the cover image of the accompanying Exhibition catalogue. Note: The dimensions listed are as unframed. This work is professionally framed to 47 x 60.50 inches and in excellent condition.

One of revered Contemporary Indian artist Atul Bhalla's most iconic images, 'Submerged' is a rare photograph by famous Contemporary Indian artist Atul Bhalla. Bhalla has achieved international recognition by critics and collectors alike for his visually arresting figurative photographs, which explore social, political and environmental issues. One of the recurring themes in Bhalla’s work is water, most famously encapsulated in this image.

Atul Bhalla (B. 1964) was born in New Delhi, India. Bhalla received his BFA from Delhi University and his MFA from the School of Art of Northern Illinois University. He currently lives and works in New Delhi. The artist has received numerous awards for his work and has been the subject of many group and solo Museum exhibitions, world-wide.
