Lot description
Produced in 1976, Warhol’s skull portfolio shows the artist’s obsession with death and mortality. The works clearly reference the European tradition of memento mori and act as a dramatic counter point to much of Warhol’s work which glorifies fame, celebrity and commercialism.

The current screen-print is an edition of 50. It is signed and numbered lower left and is in mint condition. It is framed in an aluminum slip frame.
