Seller's Description:
With its impressionist, pedmarked surface, this work was radically finished when the wax was created in 1895, during the very beginning of the Modern period. With this study, the gesture of EDGAR DEGAS’ fingers has described the form in a perfect equilibrium with the dancer’s delicate pose. 18 inches in height.

NOTE: This is a bronze foundry proof from the lifetime plaster. It is not part of the 1998 Valsuani edition.
