An early work on canvas from COCO 144, this work reflects Jackson Pollack and Paul Clay’s influence on the artist.

COCO 144. Born in New York Manhattan, of Italian-Puerto Rican blood, 1957. Began working alongside Tan 144. He was the first writer (graffiti artist) to use more than one color in his name. First became “King” in 1971. President of UGA (United Graffiti Artists, 1972-90). Was the first writer to take his talents into the realm of conventional visual art (drawing, printmaking, sculpture, painting and mural making).[See New York Times review and "street cred" as additional detailed images]
