Seller's Description:

The animated cartoon character, 'Woody Woodpecker', pops out from an American Flag—on an approximately 5 x 2½ foot painting by the 1980s Graffitti artist, and late 1960s/70s Warhol Factory and Interview Magazine 'Assistant', RONNIE CUTRONE.

The artist frequently used cartoon characters from the comics—such as Woody Woodpecker or Bugs Bunny—for their humor. Cutrone capitalized on the cartoons of this period and incorporated them in his works. This flag is a typical Ronnie Cutrone artwork of the late 1980s.

Special NOTE: This mixed media painting on an actual fabric flag will be sold along with a poster that is also signed and dated in black marker. (see image of poster included with listing)
