Seller's Description:
Murakami is one of the most significant artists of the younger generation to emerge from Japan. He is considered to be the Japanese Andy Warhol. In synthesizing popular culture and traditional form, Murakami's work has pervaded both high and low culture. He designed a series of handbags for Louis Vuitton a few years ago, but his work has also seen very high prices in the contemporary auctions the past few years. A major retrospective of Murakami, organized and exhibited by the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, toured to the Brooklyn Museum in 2008.
Artwork in pristine condition.
