John M Armleder, born in 1948, is a Contemporary Swiss artist. In 1969 Armleder created Fluxus performance group Groupe Ecart with several other artists. In 2004 the Kunsthalle Zurich held a retrospective of Armleder's work.
This piece is framed and has a Daniel Newburg Gallery label on the back of the frame. The frame shows some wear due to storage. Over time paper has responded to the gouache and has contracted in some points. It is possible that this was the artists intention.
