Seller's Description:
This is a complete, original suite of five etchings by artist Richard Serra entitled 'Promenade Notebook Drawings I-V'. Each piece is hand signed, numbered, & dated in pencil by the artist from the very small edition of only 50.

These works posses the heavy, grainy, inky, hand finishing the artist is so well known for along with his solid, linear imagery.

The art is beautifully framed in a shadow-boxed, contemporary matte black gessoed frame, recessed and floating on oyster linen matting, beveled linen top matt, and matching inner black fillet. The framed size of each measures approx. 24-1/2X20-1/2" with both the art and frames being in mint condition. All framing materials used are of museum quality and are 100% acid free including 100% u.v. protective plexi-glas.

Based on an analysis of historical auction catalogs, we apply a formula to all records with hammer prices to estimate the effect of a buyer’s premium. To be included in artnet’s peer groups, artists need to have sold either at least 10 lots at USD 10,000 or more, or at least 40 lots at USD 5,000 or more, or at least 3 lots each year since 2006 of which at least 2 were sold over USD 5,000.
