There seems to be a message in each one of Wesley´s paintings, but it is too cryptic for us to decipher.
What is happening here? A small plane landing on uneven ground in the night. Is it an illegal drug delivery, or do the pink windows indicate
a romantic excursion?

Pop or Minimal, the dreamlike image of a night landing is expressed as a silhouette in a 5 x 5 foot size in this dramatic early eighties painting by JOHN WESLEY. This painting is currently installed in the John Wesley Retrospective, "John Wesley, a project by Fondazione Prada", Venice, curated by Germano Celant, in conjunction with the Venice Biennale (catalogue illustrated).
