Antique Indian Gilt Resist Dyed Figural Fragment depicting a central scene within a cartouche of the "Gopis", devotees of Lord Krishna resplendent in beautiful costumes and jewelery and depicted dancing around a central tree of life set against a deep red background with polychromatic floral guard and outer borders against a light blue ground. All of the details with overlaying gold gilding.
