From Los Caprichos (plate 66). Harris 101 iii/iii, First Edition. Fine impression in brown-black ink from the first edition (1799) on laid paper with full margins (sheet size 320 x 220 mm.), binding holes at the left. In addition to realistic and satiric subjects, Goya incorporated witches, devils and a variety of folkloric creatures into the Caprichos. His commentary here: "There goes a witch, riding on the little crippled devil. This poor devil, of whom everyone makes fun, is not without his uses at times."
