The siblings depicted are the grandchildren of Anthony Bleecker, a poet and active participant in the cultural affairs of New York. He was a co-founder of the NY Historical Society. Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village was named after him as it dissected the family farm. The children are posed by the Saint Lawrence River in the Thousand Island region of NY.
