DESCRIPTION:

Dila was born in Humberto de Campos in the Maranhao State, quite North of Brazil.
Self-taught, she begun his career in 1968 when she was living in São Paulo. She made an important quantity of personal and collective exhibitions in Brazil and abroad. In 1996, Dila decided to go back home and she was welcome as the painter who became famous. She was invited by the government of Maranhao to execute huge works using ceramics in order to decorate the Airport, and official places. Dila express herself in an original way. She is creative and vigorous.
