Hailed as the best design of the 20th century by Time Magazine, the LCW, along with the Lounge Chair and Ottoman in leather, this may be the most well-recognized piece designed by Eames. Low-slung, with an expertly crafted molded plywood seat and back, this chair is extremely comfortable and built for longevity. The red aniline dye is considered the most rare and striking of the vintage Eames chairs.
Condition: There is slight wear on the chair consistent with age. The screw configuration is consistent with the period (5-2-4) and it appears there was a Herman Miller restoration at some time of the bottom five point. It retains its original label and there is slight fading throughout the chair which lends to its vintage patina.
