DESCRIPTION:

Conceived in 1882 there were three examples of this work cast between 1902 and 1952 by the Alexis Rudier Foundry and then another 10 casts by the George Rudier Foundry between 1966 and 1974.
This work will be included in the forthcoming Catalogue Critique de Lioeuvre Sculpté d'Auguste Rodin under the archive no. 2003V330B and is sold with a letter from the Comite Auguste Rodin confirming the authenticity and provenance of the work.
