DESCRIPTION:  This work was conceived in 1911 by Rodin and the plaster model given to the Rodin Museum. A edition of 12 casts were made starting in 1966 of which this is cast no.2

This work will be included in the forthcoming Catalogue Critique de l'Oeuvre Sculpte d'Auguste Rodin being currently prepared at the Galerie Brame & Lorenceau under the direction of Jermome Le Blay
