DESCRIPTION:
|
A unique and iconic Banksy work. This is the largest complete, signed Banksy street piece known to be in existence. The piece is featured in Banksy's self published book Cut it Out and and has been comprehensively documented on the artists own website, its twin stencil GALLERY ATTENDANT aka 'ARSE' (long since destroyed!) featured on page 72 of the ubiquitous best selling Banksy book Wall and piece.
The work was originally produced by invitation for the Liverpool Biennial 2004 and although it was one of three street originals painted by Banksy, the other two have since been destroyed, making this the sole surviving example a truly 'unique' work by an artist at the height of his fame and notoriety.
