DESCRIPTION:  This work is hand signed in pencil by the artist at the lower right margin "max ernst" and hand inscribed "e.a" (epreuve d'artist/artist proof) at the lower left margins. The work was printed in 1970 in a limited edition of 100 signed and numbered impressions plus a few (possibly 19) artist proofs. Our impression is one of these rare artist proofs.

Condition: Excellent condition. Very faint paper discolouration from former matting.
