DESCRIPTION:
|
The solid cast muscular figure is represented nude with his weight resting on one foot and the other slightly bent. His head looks forward with delicately inscribed facial features including relatively large round eyes and engraved hair. He holds both hands before him with open palms. The arms have been bent over time and would have originally been held farther out from the body. Thick olive patination with areas of heavier earthen encrustation. A very rare early Classic athletic bronze
