DESCRIPTION:

Condition: Surface of the work is slightly dirty. Rather significant frame abrasion along all four edges, particularly along upper and lower edge resulting in a few minor areas of loss to surface paint. One significant 3 3/4in. long scratch, causing minor loss to surface paint, located 8in. from lower edge and 8in. from left side. A few small light scratches throughout. A number of areas of staining throughout, particularly along upper and lower margins. A few small areas of stable craqueleur throughout. No evidence of inpainting when examined under u.v. light. Panel verso: Rather significant small areas of staining throughout. Frame abrasion along all four edges. Otherwise, good condition overall.
