DESCRIPTION:
|
After Mallarme and R.L. Stevenson, we have here another literary title, this time from Edgar allen Poe. The Domain of Arnheim is the domain of enchantment, the domain of Absence, more real than the real, more present than presence. It is the domain of the impossible. The mountain is an eagle, the nest that comes from the bird side of the "bird mountain" is found on a wall which is made of a rocky material. From one to the other, from the wall to the nest, from the fabricated object to the natural object par excellence, there is a highly problematic diffence. The "highness" of this problem is completely dominated by the ante-logical synthesis the bird mountain that dominates the world from its absent domain made visible.
