The bundled chest of drawers, a mélange of discarded and mismatched drawers, is one of Droog's most iconic pieces. It was part of the founding Droog exhibition and is in the permanent collection of the Saint Louis Art Museum, Carnegie Museum in Pittsburgh, and the Centraal Museum in Utrecht, The Netherlands. Remy's chest of drawers not only turns its back on superficial, elegant design, but also criticizes both the excess and the consumer mania that pervades the world. The chest has no fixed form; the drawers can be combined and exchanged at will. This deliberate improvisation is a comment on the increasing complexity of the position of the professional designer.
