MATERIALS:  Pen and black ink, gray wash
MARKINGS:  “La Meneghina presto xe Novizza. Cussi la lava, e piu no la se instizza” along the bottom edge and “Mervieschi invento”, written in Venetian dialect. Translates as “The Milanese woman quickly gets married, and soon she is washing and no longer gets angry.”
