Aleksandr Rodchenko Portfolio Number One: "Classic Images". The Aleksandr Rodchenko Museum Series Portfolio is a publishing project between the Rodchenko/Stepanova archives in Moscow and Howard Schickler Fine Art. The first portfolio in the series is titled "Classic Images" and contains 30 photographs in an edition of 35 with 8 publisher's sets. Photographs in the portfolio were printed from the original negatives by Rodchenko's grandson in Rodchenko's original darkroom. The photographs are mounted on archival lightfast paper, which duplicates the paper Rodchenko used to mount his exhibition prints in the 1920s. In addition, the portfolio contains a descriptive catalogue with never before published information on the photographs, as well as an essay by John Bowlt. Includes a portfolio box, colophon, and illustrated end papers.
