PROVENANCE:  Acquired from Jurgen Schulten, who acquired it directly from Mark Kostabi. Jurgen owned an apartment in New York, which Mark wanted to buy, but was a little short on the down payment. Mr. Schulten accepted the painting as part of the down payment. This fact was confirmed by email from Mark Kostabi.
