DESCRIPTION:  This sketch takes place among the preliminary works and searches for Les derniéres glanes (Salon des Artistes Français 1895, nƒ294. The Henry E. Huntington Library and Art Gallery, San Marino, California).

In the final work, a girl of about the same age is carrying wheat instead of a jug and a basket, but the painter added several figures.
