1938   born in Danzig.
1955   joined the photography group of the Kolpinghaus in Cologne at the age of 17 years
1973   Initially, he photographed people and landscapes in many countries of Europe and in the U.S., Africa and India. However, photography was not to remain his only field of artistic activity. In 1973 Labuda began to make multicoloured serigraphs after his monochrome photographic originals. In the same year he set up his first screen printing workshop in Murnau, Germany. From then on, for a total of 26 years until now, he has issued a graphic print at year’s end.
1970 - 1975   He was a member of the Royal Photographic Society in London, and he later worked as a science photographer in the field of surface cleanness.
1982   From 1982 on an abstract oeuvre of drawings has evolved. The drawings serve him as stencils for etchings, serigraphs and especially for his lineatures. These are pressed, linear relief embossments in white handmade paperboard.
1998 - 2001   From 1998 on Labuda began to focus on sculpture as well. During the "Art Multiple 98 show" in Düsseldorf he showed several friends his "Time Tunnel", first as a wood sculpture, and from that he made his first bronze in collaboration with the Noack Art Foundry in Berlin in 2001.
Win Labuda has subdivided his main oeuvre to date into two cycles and a sculpture/relief group: The first cycle – Journey to the Beginning of Time, consists of the six photographic series People Today, Enlived Sculpture, Pictures and Signs, Enriched Nature, Home of the Gods and In the Beginning was Time. The second cycle – Lineatures of Time, consists of six graphic series Every Year Again, New Life from the Ruins, The Scales of Time, Colourful Metamorphoses, Word-Time Pictures and Time Thoughts. The sculptures/relief group contains Labuda’s works that are oriented on the idea of the time tunnel. These also include the reliefs which evolved in the course of the years from his drawings (lineatures).
2005   New York, "Aipad – Show" – photography art fair. Six photographs of children from the series "People Today". Group exhibition with works of internationally recognised photographers. (Photo - Art Hamburg).
2004   New York, "Aipad – Show" – photography art fair. Twenty dolmen pictures. Group exhibition with works of Peter Keetmann, Walter Schels et al. (Photo - Art Hamburg).
