After attending the secondary school. Sebastian developed a strong interest in art. He first wanted to get more practical skills though, and attended the school of cabinetmaking, where he got in close contact to design. Following that, he started studying at Design Academy Eindhoven, where he could encounter teachers like Gijs Bakker, Hella Jongerius and Jurgen Bey, with the latter he also did an internship. At the same time he started studying Philosophy at university of Utrecht, still to finish. From Eindhoven he graduated in February 2006 with the projects “Lathe Chairs” and “Home Grown”.
