Since his first one-man show at the age of twenty, Paul Resika has been know and admired for the luminous colors of his paintings. Then, at the height of his career, he embarked on a journey into a new method of expression; printmaking. In his prints he prefers the power of expression in black and white. His favorite objects are boats in an exciting variety of shapes and moods.
Paul Resika is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the National Academy of Design. His works can be found in numerous public collections including the Metropolitan Museum in New York, the National Museum of American Art in Washington, DC. He is also the recipient of many awards including the Academy institute Award in Art, American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters.
