Paul Dupré-Lafon was born on June 17th in Marseille. He studies at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Marseille. He meets Georges Willameur and the two friends paint and exhibit in galleries in Marseille.

He gratuated as an architect and decorator and settles in Paris.
|
|

1925
|
|
He designs his first pieces of furniture. He meets Odette Hirtzmann, daughter of an officer in the Army.

1928

|
He marries Odette and they decide to live on rue Lauriston in Paris. He works alone at home sometimes using trainees.

1929

He realizes his first masterpiece, a private hotel rue Rembrandt. He begins to work with Hermès.

He works a lot and moves in fashionable circles.

A large article about the private hotel rue Rembrandt is written in « Art et Décoration » in April.

He writes many books about villas, offices, shops and furniture. First edition of his valet and desk set by Hermès.
