Mary Fedden Biography
1915   Born in Bristol, UK.
1932 - 1936   Studied at the Slade School of Art in London.
1951   Married the noted British artist Julian Trevelyan.

Received mural commission from the Festival of Britain.
1961   Received mural commission from the P & O Liner Canberra.
1958 - 1964   Appointed the first female tutor at the Royal College of Art where her pupils included David Hockney and Allen Jones.
1965 - 1970   Taught at the Yehudi Menuhin School at Cobham in Surrey.
1980   Received mural commission along with her husband from Charing Cross Hospital.
1985   Received mural commission from Colindale Hospital.
1984 - 1988   President of the Royal West of England Academy.
1992   Became an academician of the Royal Academy and has received an honorary doctorate from the University of Bath as well as an O.B.E. for her work.
1996   A major exhibition of her work was held at the Royal West of England Academy.
  Currently, she continues to live and work in Chiswick, London.
