1953   2nd prize, Young European Painters International Show, Berlin, Germany
1963   Received first prize in Rome for his painting "Torneo Medieval"
1963   Lives eight months in Villa Medicci in Rome, where he befriends the renowned painter Giorgio de Chirico
1971   Spends a year in Rome studying poetic cubism
1978   Travels to Africa to study Cubis African sculptures
1983   Sao Paulo Museum of Modern Art purchases numerous works from the painter
1996   Establishes his permanent studio in Miami, FL
2002   Spanish Queen Sofia purchases the "Quixote" painting
2003   "Quijote in Miami" painting exhibited at the Reina Sofia Museum, Madrid, Spain
2000   Exhibit in New York sponsored by Placido Domingo and Mayor Giuliani
