Jankel Adler Biography
1922   Settled in Düsseldorf, taught at the Kunstakademie, member of the artists’ group "Junges Rheinland
1928   Winner of the Gold Medal of Deutsche Kunstausstellung (German Art Exhibition), Düsseldorf
1928   First one-man exhibition at Barmen Museum
1933   Left Germany for Paris 1933
1937   His works were removed from public collections by the Nazis and shown in the exhibition “Entartete Kunst” (Degenerate Art), Munich
1939   Moved to Scotland, later to London
1940   Exhibitions in London, Paris and New York
  Studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule, Barmen, Germany
