1908   Otto Natzler: January 31, born in Vienna, Austria
1927 - 1933   Otto Natzler: Worked as textile designer in the Vienna office of Fritz Schönwälder
1933   Otto met Gertrud who got him interested in clay
1934   Otto Natzler: Studied at the ceramic workshop of Franz Iskra for less than a year
1935   Established own workshop in Vienna, Austria. This was the beginning of their collaborative work.
1937   Exhibited work in the Austrian Pavilion at the World Exposition in Paris, France
1938   Married in Vienna on June 7 then immigrated to the United States under Nazi threat and settled in California
1939   Awarded the silver medal at the Paris Expo
1939   First Prize, 8th National Ceramic Exhibition, Syracuse Museum of Fine Arts, New York, NY
1944   Gertrud and Otto became citizens of the United States
1956 - 1960   Worked as Artists-in-Residence, Brandeis Institute, Santa Susana, CA
1960   Nominated Life-Fellows International Institute of Arts and Letters, Zurich, Switzerland
1939 - 1966   They participated in every Ceramic National from 1939 - 1966, except 1950 and 1952.
