1889 - 1890   Studied at Philadelphia's Spring Garden Institute
1890 - 1891   Studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts primarily under Robert W. Vonnoh
1893   His first known illustration appeared in the July 1893 issue of St. Nicholas published by Scribner's
1893 - 1910   Wright had contributed illustrations for a number of novels and his work continued to be featured in the leading magazines of the period including Collier's, Everybody's, Outing, Harper's Weekly
1918   Samuel T. Shaw Prize
1921   Beck Watercolor Prize
1922   His last book illustrations were published and he began to focus on watercolors, pastel and etching
1926   President of the Society of Illustrators and a member of the Salmagundi Club, the Society of American Etchers, and the National Academy of Design
