Frederick William Jackson Biography
  Landscape and marine painter, born in Oldham and studied at the Manchester Academy, although he worked primarily at Hinderwell, Yorkshire. He also studied under Lefebre and Boulanger in Paris. Exhibited from 1880 at the Royal academy and elsewhere. Titles at the Royal Academy include ' Gossip', 'The Haven under the Hill', 'Sunny Days'. His works are in the Bradford Art Gallery and Manchester City Art Gallery.
