Farid Belkahia Biography

Farid Belkahia was born in 1934, Marrakech. He graduated from the Fine Art School of Paris in 1959. He travelled worldwide including in United States, China, Italy and Czech Republic. From 1962 to 1974, he was nominated headmaster of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts of Casablanca. He took part in numerous exhibitions such as Rencontres Africaines at the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris. His work has been shown in many institutions like the Modern Art museum of Johannesburg, Cape Town in 1994 and the Contemporary Art museum of Nice, France, in 1999. He lives and works in Marrakech.
